Day 5 Continued

Meg drove us around Houston, looking at different neighborhoods and areas. We drove through Kinkaid School, where Larry Kahn is the Director of Academic Computing and past Chapelwood United Methodist Church where Jared's dad isSenoir Pastor. I took a few shots of one of Houston's Historic Districts and of the church (if you look closely, you can see Jared's dad's name on the sign), but not of the school. We had lunch at a French Cafe called "Madeleine's."
When we got back to Misty Meadow Lane, Jared was giving Shiloh a bath. She is a very cute puppy.
Meg and I made homemade ice cream in her new Cuisinart ice cream maker--cookies and cream and peppermint pattie!

We had dinner at the Taste of Texas Restaurant, a renowned Texas steak house. We each ordered a 16 oz. New York Strip Steak, which was way more than we could eat. Barbara and Kevin ate here when they were in Houston. Here are a few pictures of our evening out:
